Auch dieses Jahr haben nahezu 1000 Flugsimulatorbegeisterte den Weg in das Airport-Forum des Paderborner Flughafens gefunden.
Am Samstag, den 25. Oktober wurde der Paderborner Flughafen anlässlich der 6. Deutschen Flug-simulator Konferenz wieder einmal zum Mekka für PC-Piloten. Über 30 Entwickler aus der ganzen Welt nahmen an diesem, im deutschsprachigen Bereich einmaligen, Event teil und stellten Ihre neusten Entwicklungen vor. Passend zur Konferenz wurde auch der heimische Flughafen Pader-born/Lippstadt als Zusatzsoftware 'Add-on' zum Microsoft Flugsimulator fertig gestellt, sodass die Besucher den Veranstaltungsort sowohl virtuell im Simulator überfliegen, als auch durch die angebo-tenen Busrundfahrten oder von der großen Terrasse aus real erkunden konnten.
Ein besonderes Highlight war in diesem Jahr die Podiumsdiskussion im Rahmen des Konferenzpro-gramms. Vertreter von Microsoft, den Simulator X-Plane, Entwicklern, von IVAO sowie die Chefre-dakteure der Flugsimulator-Fachzeitschriften FS Magazin und FlightXPress diskutierten unter der Moderation des Aerosoft Geschäftsführers Winfried Diekmann über die Zukunft der PC-Flugsimulation.
Die mehr als 20 Aussteller zeigten sich nach der Veranstaltung mit dem Besuch und dem Interesse der Besucher sehr zufrieden.
Abschluss der Konferenz bildete das traditionelle Captain’s Dinner. Hier konnten die ca. 160 Ausstel-ler, Entwickler und Gäste die Verleihung der begehrten SimFlight-Awards für die besten und innova-tivsten Flugsimulationsprodukte 2008 mitverfolgen. |
